Dirhams to pesos, at a glance
The amounts looked up on this corridor are small and frequent — 50, 100, 150, 500 dirhams — which is the signature of regular remittance rather than one-off conversion. If that is you, the number that matters is not the headline rate but what lands in the account at the other end.

The rate you see is not the rate you get
Every quoted AED to PHP figure — on Google, on this page, in a news story — is the mid-market rate: the midpoint between what banks buy and sell at. It is the honest reference number, and it is not available to you.
An exchange house earns in two places. The visible one is the transfer fee, usually AED 10 to 25. The less visible one is the margin: they quote a rate slightly worse than mid-market and keep the difference. A 1% margin on 5,000 dirhams is 50 dirhams — more than three times a AED 15 fee, and nobody puts it on a sign.
That is why the calculator asks for both. Compare providers on the rate they quote, not the fee they advertise.
About this corridor
The peso is heavily influenced by overseas remittances, and the UAE to Philippines corridor is one of the busiest in the Gulf. Competition between remittance centres keeps margins tighter here than on thinner routes, and promotional zero-fee days around month-end payday are common.
Two things genuinely help on any corridor. Splitting a large transfer across several dates averages the rate instead of betting it all on one day. And comparing three providers on the morning you send costs ten minutes and routinely beats the first rate offered.
What does not help is waiting for a better rate on a monthly salary transfer. Movement over a few weeks is usually smaller than the margin difference between two providers on the same day — so you would be gambling on the small number while ignoring the big one.
What the live rate here is, and is not
The rate is fetched when the page loads from a free public exchange-rate feed that updates once a day. It is a mid-market reference figure, good for working out roughly what a sum is worth.
It is not a quote, not a live dealing rate, and not what any specific provider will give you. For a transfer, get the provider’s own number and put it in the rate field. If the fetch fails or JavaScript is off, the page falls back to a rate recorded on 30 October 2026 and says so rather than passing a stale figure off as current.
How to use this calculator
- Enter the amount in dirhams.
- The rate field fills with the live mid-market rate when the page loads.
- For a real transfer, replace it with the rate your provider has quoted.
- Set a margin if you are working from the mid-market rate and want the realistic outcome.
- Add the fee your provider charges, or zero if it is built into their rate.
- Compare the mid-market figure against what would actually arrive.
- Check the same two numbers at two or three providers before committing.
Frequently asked questions
What is 1,000 AED in pesos?
About 17,376 PHP at the mid-market rate shown on this page. What arrives after a margin and transfer fee is less, typically 1% to 2% less, which the calculator above works out.
What is the AED to PHP rate today?
The page fetches a live mid-market rate when it loads and fills it into the rate field. That is a reference figure rather than a dealing quote — any rate offered to you will be slightly worse, because the difference is how the provider is paid.
Why is the rate I am offered lower than the rate online?
Published rates are mid-market: the midpoint between bank buy and sell prices, which retail customers do not get. Providers quote slightly worse and keep the difference as margin. On larger sums that margin usually costs more than the visible fee.
Is the fee or the exchange rate more important?
The rate, on almost any amount worth sending. A 1% margin on 5,000 dirhams is 50 dirhams against a typical fee of about 15. Low advertised fees are precisely why the margin is where the money is.
Does this rate change during the day?
Yes — the Philippine peso floats, so it moves continuously against the dollar, and the dirham follows the dollar. The free feed behind this page updates once a day, so treat it as a reference rather than a live ticker.
When is the best time to send money to the Philippines?
For a monthly salary transfer, the difference between providers on the same day is usually larger than the rate movement over several weeks, so comparing beats waiting. For a large one-off, splitting it across several dates averages the rate rather than betting it on one.
Do you store my numbers?
No. Calculations run in your browser. The exchange rate is fetched from a public feed; nothing you type is sent anywhere. See our Privacy Policy for analytics and AdSense cookie details.
Where these figures come from
The exchange rate is fetched when the page loads from open.er-api.com, a free public feed that updates once a day and needs no key. It is a mid-market reference rate — the midpoint between bank buy and sell prices — not a dealing quote, and not what any provider will give you.
If the fetch fails, the page does not pretend. It falls back to 1 AED = 17.3761 PHP, recorded on 30 October 2026, and labels it with that date. The conversion table is built from the same fallback, so the page carries real figures even with JavaScript disabled.
The margin and fee defaults are not published rates. They are typical of UAE providers on this corridor, not a tariff anyone publishes. Replace both with your own provider’s figures — that is the only way this page tells you something Google’s own converter does not.
