About Dubai Calculators

An independent site publishing free calculators for everyday money questions in the UAE.

Dubai Calculators is run by a single independent publisher based in the UAE. It started because working out ordinary costs here — a month of Salik crossings, an end-of-service figure, a DEWA bill, the real cost of a visa — usually means finding a tariff table and doing the arithmetic yourself. These tools do the arithmetic and show the workings.

There are currently 62 calculators covering Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah: transport fares and tolls, utility bills, gratuity and salary calculations, visa and government fees, and cost-of-living estimates.

Where the numbers come from

Every rate used in a calculator comes from the body that sets it — the RTA for metro and taxi fares, Salik and Abu Dhabi Mobility for tolls, DEWA, SEWA and ADDC for utility tariffs, and UAE federal law for employment calculations such as gratuity. Pages that depend on a published rate carry a short “Rates used on this page” section naming the source and the date it was last checked.

Published rates change, sometimes quietly. Salik moved to variable pricing on 31 January 2025, and Abu Dhabi’s Darb charging windows are not what they were at launch; both are reflected here. If you find a figure that no longer matches the official source, please tell us — it is the most useful message we get.

What these tools are not

This is not a government website. Dubai Calculators has no affiliation with the RTA, Salik, Abu Dhabi Mobility, DEWA, SEWA, ADDC, MoHRE or any other UAE authority, and it cannot process, submit or influence any application.

Results are estimates for planning. The taxi meter, the utility bill or the government invoice is what you actually pay. For anything binding — a final settlement, a visa fee, a legal entitlement — check the relevant authority or take professional advice.

How the site is funded

The calculators are free, with no account, paywall or signup. The site carries advertising to cover hosting. Nothing you type into a calculator reaches us: the arithmetic runs in your own browser, which you can confirm in your browser’s network tools.

Corrections

If a rate is out of date, a calculation looks wrong, or a page is unclear, write to business@dubaicalculator.com. Rate corrections are made first, and the “last checked” date on the page is updated when they are.
