AED 5.00 to start the meter between 6am and 10pm, AED 5.50 between 10pm and 6am, then about AED 2.26 per kilometre day or night. Waiting is AED 0.30 a minute and there is a minimum fare of AED 12, so very short trips all cost the same.

Airport column adds the AED 25 starting charge instead of AED 5. Add AED 4 for each Salik gate the route crosses — a cross-city trip often passes two to four. RTA reviews the per-kilometre rate monthly against fuel prices, so check the meter card for the exact figure. Full fare chart, 1 to 50 km.
